Even after repeated complaints to the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), there seems to be no end to the worries of citizens regarding waterlogging on roads during rainy seasons.
Even with little rains, the city roads get inundated with water causing great inconvenience to the commuters. Such a situation has arisen on a road leading to the Big Bazaar near Magnetic Square at Patia.
Following rains during the last few days, the road gives the impression of being hit by an artificial flood. Hundreds of people commute on the road while going to the KIIT University here and Cuttack regularly. Rainwater has inundated the road in such a way that people are facing difficulties even while walking on it, pointed out a local resident, Satyajit Rout.
locals demand that the BMC take immediate steps and renovate the drainage structure to prevent any untoward incident on the road in near future.
