Protesting water scarcity, villagers of Radhapatipur under Athagarh block staged a road blockade on the Old Sambalpur-Cuttack Road on Saturday.
The agitators were holding empty buckets and water pots as a mark of protest. Some local BJP leaders supported their demand.
later, some officials of the district administration reached the spot and assured them to fulfill their demands soon by repairing tube-wells that are lying obsolete for the last couple of weeks and providing pipe water supply within a week.
