The CBI’s back-to-back raids and continuous interrogation to politicians, businessmen and other bigwigs in connection with chit fund scam in the State has become a hot topic during last few days.
After the arrest of land broker Subhankar Nayak, who was working as middlemen between the Seashore Group and politicians and bureaucrats, several influential people are panicky expecting any action by the CBI.
Rumours are doing the rounds in Bhubaneswar about North Bhubaneswar constituency MLA Priyadarshi Mishra’s relation with the arrested land broker Nayak. locals said they had seen Mishra along with Nayak during the last election campaigns in the constituency.
locals also stated that Mishra was holding election meetings with Nayak and his land broker friend Babu Sahu of Gadakana area of the city at the Kali temple in the Press Chhak area in the constituency. Through Babu, a BJD worker and aide of Mishra, Nayak had come in contact with the MLA, local sources said.
