BSF personnel have put up wanted posters of top Maoist leader Gananath alias Ramana in remote areas of Koraput district following reports of the Maoist Central Committee secretary currently hiding in the Boipariguda forest area reaching here.
The BSF has also geared up combing operation in the forest to nab the fugitive and other hardcore Maoists holed up in the forest. The posters spotted at Boipariguda, Ramagiri, Dasmantapur and other remote areas also referred to the cash awards announced by Odisha and Andhra Pradesh Governments for information on the Maoist leader.
The BSF also announced a cash reward of Rs2 crore to whoever furnishes information on Gananath. He has been eluding arrest for the past one decade. A year back, Gananath had narrowly escaped from the clutches of police in Narayanpatana forest and this is the second time that the Intelligence reported his sneaking into Boipariguda forest, and therefore they dont want to miss this chance.
