A wanted Maoist was nabbed on Sunday inside the Pukura forest on the Rayagada-Kandhmal border during a joint combing operation by the Special Operation Group (SOG), District Voluntary Force (DVF) and the CRPF.
According to police sources, he was identified as Samant Gurlika, a local tribal cadre of the outlawed outfit, who is alleged to have been involved in the murder of the sarpanch of Hanumantpur panchayat in Rayagada district.
