Justice Dhirendra Hiralal Waghela will be the new Chief Justice of the Odisha High Court. A notification to this effect was issued by the Union law Ministry in New Delhi on Monday. Justice Waghela is currently officiating as the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.
The post of Chief Justice in Odisha was lying vacant since Justice AK Goel was elevated to the Supreme Court Bench in February. Justice Waghela is likely to take charge of his new assignment this month, sources said.
