The Government High School Contract Teachers’ Associations of Balangir and Subarnapur districts have urged leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Narasingha Mishra to take necessary steps so that the Government regularise all contract teachers completing six years in job as per norms.
In a letter, the two associations apprised Mishra that the School and Mass Education Department had issued a letter on July 25, 2011 declaring to regularise all contractual teachers on completion of six years in job in Government High Schools.
Though they completed six years in job in June 2016, the department is yet to regularise them.
They further apprised that the S and ME Department is not implementing the Contractual Employees Rules and thus depriving them of entitlements.
They urged Mishra to intervene and take necessary steps so that they can be regularised at the earliest.
Ganjam association president Ram Narayan Das and Sonepur association president lalbabu Sethi were the undersigned, among others.
