The agitation for permanent High Court Bench in western Odisha by the Jharsuguda Bar Association has been extended till October 15.
Bar president Raghumani Patel informed the decision of the general body meeting to close all judicial and revenue courts in the district till such period.
The agitation for permanent HC Bench in western Odisha is continuing as per core committee meeting on September 9.
Since then all judicial and revenue courts in western Odisha districts were closed from September 17 to 26. Later, it was extended up to September 30.
In the CAC Core committee meeting at Rajgangpur on September 29, it was decided to continue the agitation further.
However, after a long gap, the courts opened on Monday. But, again the emergency general body meeting of the bar association resolved to continue the agitation till October 15.
Lawyers Basant Sahoo, Naresh Naik, Padmanav Mali, Biswanath Nayak, Sayeed Baig, among others, were present in the ameeting.
