A two-day meeting of the Collectors of the 10 western Odisha districts under the Northern Revenue Division, began here on Thursday.
The meeting, presided over by Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Northern Division) Dr Pramod Meherda, is being attended by all the 10 Collectors of the division.
The meeting is likely to discuss the ways and means of tackling problems arising out of deficient and scanty rainfalls in the State this monsoon.
With the Met department apprehending a poor monsoon under the impact of El Nino, there is a possibility that most parts of western Odisha, especially in highland, un-irrigated and arid zones, would face a drought-like situation.
