Jajpur District Collector Anil Kumar Samal expressed that Vyasanagar was going to be capital of Kalinga Nagar.
He was addressing the 23rd annual day celebration of Vyasanagar Mahila Samiti here.
Samal said, “Women are more powerful than men during crisis .”
He added that within a few years, a master plan was going to be approved to accommodate five lakh people in Kalinga Nagar town.
He praised the activities of the Mahila Samiti for their social service during Coromondal train accident at Jajpur Road.
Korei MlA Preeti Ranjan Ghadai was the chief guest of the evening. He told that from home management to country’s management, women have now taken a lead role.
Durga Devi Gupta, Secretary of Mahila Samiti and Sabita Rout, Assistant Secretary were also present for the function which was presided over by Dr lalita Rout, Principal, IG Women’s College.
Vyasanagar Municipality chairperson Bandita Parida and Vyasanagar Tehsildar Diptimayee Sahoo, were among others, who spoke.
