The authorities of the VSSUT at Burla have suspended a Grade-II staff of the workshop on allegation of misbehaving with a first year girl student. He was identified as Bhagawan Tudu (40). The incident took place almost a week back. The university authorities made all- out efforts to keep it a secret. But after it came to the notice of the other students, who protest it vehemently and demanded action against the erring staff, Tude was suspended. It is further learnt that Tudu is a habitual offender in such matters. However, the VC of the university had earlier formed a committee to inquire into the matter and after getting a report from the committee, the action was taken.
Students of the university have demanded dismissal of the staff as he had committed similar crimes earlier.
