The Veer Surendra Sai (VSS) Nagar Unnayan Parishad’s annual general meeting was held here on Sunday and presided over by its president Krupasindhu Sahu.
Sahu urged the VSS Nagar denizens not to use polythene in order to save environment. Parishad general secretary Dillip Dashsharma read out the annual report; and treasurer Maheswar Biswal presented the financial report.
On the occasion, senior-most member of the colony Choudhury Umakant Mishra was awarded with the Unnayan Parishad Samman. Sundar Nayak and Priyanka Behera, boy and girl toppers of Class-X of the VSS Nagar Government High School, were felicitated with Debaki Nanda Stuti award.
Among others, Parishad VP Shiv Prasad Mishra and joint secretary Psratap Kumar Nanda, Nimai Charan Das, Trilochan Rath, Ketra Mohan Nayak and Sambit Mahapatra were present. Sital Chandra Mohanty gave a vote of thanks.
