New office-bearers of the Veer Surendra Sai Unnayan Parishad here were elected for a two-year term on Sunday under the chairmanship of Krupasindhu Sahu. At the outset, one minute silent was observed for the death of its senior member Banamali Satpathy on the advice of Parishad general secretary Dillip Dashsharma.
Artatrana Dalai and Mohan Kumar Hembram managed the elections. While Sahu was elected as president for a second time, Dashsharma was elected as general secretary for the third time. Among others, Dr Jayant Kumar Parida was elected as vice-president, Maheshwar Biswal as treasurer, Pratap Kumar Nanda as office joint general secretary and Nimain Charan Das, Trilochan Rath, Golak Chanda Samal, Dharanidhar Rout and Sambit Mohapatra as joint secretaries. Sheetal Chandra Mohant proposed a vote of thanks.
