In a bid to create awareness and facilitate enrolment of new voters, the Ganjam district administration has set up Voter Sahayata Kendras (VSKs) at the offices of the Sub-Collectors of Brahmapur, Bhanjanagar and Chhatrapur.
Deletion, correction and/or change of addresses of voters would also be done at the VSKs, said district election office sources.
Old voter cards can be changed on payment of Rs25. A new plastic voter card would be given in exchange of the old one, they informed.
As many as 65,655 new voters have added their names in the district by January 15, raising the total number of voters in the district to 25.54 lakh, the sources said.
