Former cricketer and BJP’s star campaigner Navjot Singh Sidhu hit the campaign trial in Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district on Sunday. Urging voters to bless party candidates for the real development of State, Sidhu said, “While the State is still depending on Andhra Pradesh for egg, fish and banana, then what type of development the Naveen Patnaik Government has effected here.”
He also blamed the Congress for its non-performance. “The people of Odisha should elect more BJP candidates to the Assembly and to the lok Sabha to bring development to the State in all respects,” said Sidhu. Party candidate for Rairangpur Assembly segment Draupadi Murmu was present during the campaign. However, at the last moment his visit to Simulia in Bhadrak district, Mahakalpada in Kendrapada and Cuttack was cancelled for some unavoidable reasons.
