BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday suspended Vyasanagar Municipality Chairperson Sabita Rout from the party for anti-party activities.
BJD general secretary Debi Prasad Mishra informed about the suspension through a Press release.
Rout, however, said she was yet to know what indiscipline in the party she has committed. But she maintained that she would continue to work for the BJD and abide by Naveen Patnaik’s instructions
It is worth mentioning that Rout was in news earlier this year when eight Congress councillors and an Independent councillor had brought a no-confidence motion against Rout.
However, the no-trust motion against Rout was rejected as BJD councillors abstained from voting on the motion, as a result of which she had retained the post.
