Vigilance officials of Cuttack Division on Wednesday arrested Ashok Kumar Nayak, a Village level Worker (VlW) of Kankadapal gram panchayat under Sukinda block in Jajpur district, for demanding and accepting bribe from one Prasant Nayak of Kaduabandi village. Ashok Nayak had demanded the bribe of Rs3,000 from Prasant Nayak to submit a verification report in favour of the latter for allotment of a house under the Mo Kudia Yojana. A trap was laid and the VlW was caught red-handed at his Government quarter at Block Colony in Sukinda.
