The Vigilance police on Wednesday conducted raids on the office and residence of Sudam Charan Majhi, Village Level Worker (VLW) and Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of New Barangamal GP under Jujumura block in Sambalpur district, on the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
During search and inventory, Majhi and his family members were found in possession of assets worth about Rs 1.30 crore, including a triple-storied building, six plots of land, two trucks, deposits in different banks, investment in insurance policies, gold and silver ornaments, cash and household articles.
