The Viswakarma Puja, the festival of the divine architect, was celebrated with much zeal and zest in the steel city, including the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), on Wednesday. The exquisitely-crafted idols of lord Viswakarma along with the ornately-decorated Puja Pandals evoked a spirit of devotion and veneration among the devotees.
It may be noted that over a hundred of Puja Pandals were erected inside the steel plant by its employees, which is much more than that of the Pandals made by various organisations, associations and individual units in the township.
RSP CEO GS Prasad along with many other senior officers of the plant visited a number of Pandals in the plant. While interacting with the employees, he appreciated the enthusiasm and innovative spirit of the employees.
