Coronavirus has taken the lives of three members of a family in less than a week in the Covid-19 hotspot Ganjam district.
According to reports, Jitendra, son of Krushna Chandra Patra, was running an electronics store at the Digapahandi bus-stand. He along with his parents and wife was residing near the area. All the family members were admitted to a Covid Hospital at Sitalapali after they tested positive for the virus.
Jitendra’s mother Janaki first succumbed to the disease on July 15. Four days later, he lost his father. Less than 24 hours of his father’s death, he himself died late on Monday night at the hospital. Only his wife survived and was discharged from the hospital after her recovery.
