Senior IAS officer Vinod Kumar, who has gone underground after he was convicted by a Vigilance court earlier this week, on Friday has approached the Orissa High Court through his advocate seeking to quash the NBW issued against him by the Vigilance court.
Although the criminal miscellaneous case of the officer was listed under the head of new cases, the matter did not come for adjudication on the day.
It could not be ascertained also as to whether the convicted officer has sought for advance bail.
The Vigilance court in Bhubaneswar has found the officer of guilty for financial irregularities to the tune of Rs 55 lakh during his tenure as Odisha Rural Housing Development Corporation Managing Director. The court has issued NBW against him.
