A child specialist in VIMSAR, Burla, has faced allegation from his cousin sister, a nurse, that he kept physical relationship with her for nine years assuring her to marry and forced her to abort for two times.
The Sundargarh police after registering a case of rape against the doctor are now investigating it.
According to sources, the 26- year-old girl, a resident of
Bandhapali village under Sadar police station, was taking nurse training in VIMSAR, Burla in 2009. She is now working as a nurse in a CHC in Koraput district. Dr Sameer Kiro (42), now a Paediatrician in VIMSAR, Burla, a native of Banamal village in Jharsuguda police district, was working as a doctor in the same hospital during that period.
The victim girl said she is now pregnant of two months but when she repeatedly told Dr Kiro to marry her, he refused.
The police have, meanwhile, conducted medical examination of the victim and would get her statement recorded before a Magistrate in Sundargarh on Monday.
