Protesting against low voltage problems, nearly 50 residents, including women, of laxminarayanpur village under Derabisi block in Kendrapada district gheroaed the CESU and Enzen offices at Chhata and later locked up the offices on Thursday.
Sitting on a dharana in front of the CESU office, the agitators alleged that the low voltage problem have been acute during the last six months. Though the villagers have brought the matter before the concerned authorities several times, everything fell on deaf ears, rued a villager.
later, junior engineer of CESU Mihir Kumar Dutta reached the spot and assured the agitators to solve the low voltage problem in their locality within a month, following which the villagers withdrew their agitation.
