The Vigilance police on Thursday registered a fresh case against suspended IAS officer Partha Sarathi Mishra, who was arrested by the Vigilance in February this year on corruption charges. Mishra is, however, now out of jail after he was granted conditional bail by the High Court last month.
Booked afresh, the beleaguered IAS officer is now facing criminal charges for allegedly entering into a criminal conspiracy for dishonestly issuing appointment letters to at least 49 dealers during his tenure as he Managing Director of the Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC).
The Vigilance police also booked three other OSIC employees and all the 49 dealers, who were appointed in contravention of the corporation guidelines in this case. The officials are former DGM Ajit Kumar Padhi, Joint Manager Santanu Kumar Tripathy and Junior Manager Suddhansu Sekhar Ota.
