The Paradip Port Authority (PPA) is observing the Vigilance Awareness Week on the theme “Say No to Corruption, Commit to the Nation”. The celebration began with a walkathon led by PPA Chairman PL Haranadh from the Bus Stand and culminated at the PPA Administrative Building in the morning. Denizens of Paradip participated in it in huge numbers.
Later, Haranadh administered the Integrity Pledge to the employees at the Administrative Building. A spot quiz contest on vigilance knowledge was held among employees.
Then, Haranadh flagged off a “Satarkata Rath” to promote vigilance awareness. Local cultural organisation CANMASS performed a skit titled “Chharapoka: The Bug” to generate awareness about the menace of corruption and on filing complaints under PIDPI resolution.
During the week, various activities and competitions of elocution, essay, drawing and fancy dress have been scheduled among the local school students. PPA employees are also taking integrity e-pledge by visiting website of CVC through PPA Website and the Website of CVC & PPA. Several hoardings have been displayed for creating awareness among the public. Each PPA department has been conducting stakeholders’ meets for awareness on corruption and grievance redressal, issues relating to the functioning of the departments under three months’ campaign as prelude to the Vigilance Awareness Week.
