The Vigilance Awareness Week started from October 31 here. A meeting held on the occasion was presided by district Collector Anjan Kumar Manik. It would continue till November 5. Sambalpur Vigilance SP Jagannath Naik was the chief guest and ADM Bijaya Kumar Rath attended as the guest of honour. Jaybihari Kadam Public Prosecutor (PP) Bargarh was the speaker.
A seminar entitled ‘Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption’ was held. Over 100 participants, including Government officials, common public and students, gave their views.
Manik said transparency, accountability and responsibility bring in good governance. Naik called upon the common people to promise to eradicate corruption and help to the vigilance in the mission. DI and PRO Kalyani Dash proposed vote of thanks.
