The Vigilance sleuths of Cuttack conducted a joint raid with Kendrapada counterparts on Wednesday at the house of one Kalandi Charan Biswal, Secretary of Service Cooperative Society of Bagada Gram Panchayat.
There was an allegation against Biswal before the SP of Vigilance Cuttack for accumulating disproportionate assets.
According to Additional SP of Cuttack Vigilance Amulya Kumar Das, the raids were carried out in four places, including the parental house of Biswal at Bagada, his father-in-law’s house at Chagharia, his office and also his private office at Bagada village.
The vigilance sleuths found 122 grams of gold from his locker and 47 grams of gold from his house. Besides, property documents, more than 6 lIC polices and bank pass books were unearthed during the raid. The valuation of the assets was on when the report was being filed.
