The Paradip Port Trust (PPT) began observing the Vigilance Awareness Week on October 29 with administering pledge by Chief Engineer K Ramachandra Rao to its employees.
An interaction with newly-recruited employees was held at the Officers’ Club in which they were briefed about anti-corruption laws.
Various competitions like essay, painting, elocution and quiz among PPT employees and local school students and other activities relating to vigilance awareness are scheduled during the week.
Each PPT department is also conducting stakeholders’ meetings for awareness on corruption issues relating to their functioning.
Several hoardings have been displayed in the locality for creating awareness among the public as the theme for this year’s Vigilance Awareness Week is “Eradicate Corruption, Build A New India”.
The valedictory function will be held on November 3 when prizes will be distributed.
