The Odisha Jatra Darshak Pariwar held its second Jollyowood Awards ceremony here recently which Odisha Kinnar Association president Meera Parida and Jatra critic HK Hiralal attended as guests.
In the felicitation ceremony, as many as 81 Jatra artists and workers were awarded in 20 categories. The Indramahal Jatra was awarded as the best dance group while the Konark Gananatya was awarded for best music.
The association said that more than 300 members contributed Rs 200 each for the award ceremony. Among others, Tarakanta Biswal, Jayprakash Sahoo, Sai Prabhas Sasmal, Ramesh Mohanty, Vairab Muna, Dharmendra Mohanty, Abinash Samal, Prince Rinku, Sekhar Jyoti Panda, Kedar Thana Pati and Hrushikesh were present.
