The recent incident in which a woman journalist assaulted another woman in public view at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here on August 18 took a new turn with the victim, who was alleged to have had an illicit relationship with the assailant woman’s husband, filing an FIR against the latter with police on Thursday.
The woman lodged a complaint at the Airfield police station through speed post. She has sought arrest of the woman for assaulting her in public with the help of some goons.
She further demanded that the matter be investigated and action is taken against persons involved in the incident.
It might be mentioned that the complainant was beaten up by the woman scribe in front of the airport on August 18 on charges of having an affair with her husband.
The scribe had alleged that despite repeated warnings, the woman continued her affair with her husband, for which she decided to catch them red-handed and teach them a lesson. The incident had become a hot topic of discussion here after a video involving both the women went viral on the social media.
