The unidentified woman, whose headless body was recovered from a roadside near Dasapur on the Bharatpur-Chandaka road here on Thursday, had been strangulated before being beheaded by the assassin.This was revealed from the postmortem report on Saturday. Police said that the woman’s head was severed with a sharp weapon after being strangled to death. However, the body has again been sent to the AIIMS here for a re-autopsy to get detailed information.
The Commssionerate police have formed several teams led by the Additional DCP to investigate the case.

Besides, they have put a number of posters at the Chandaka bus-stand and other nearby places in hope of getting some clues about the victim’s identity. The Commissionerate police also announced Rs 50,000 as cash reward for identifying the deceased woman.
Describing features of the woman, the police said she was between 30 and 35 years old had a wheatish complexion with a height of 5.3 feet. She had a sound health and a tattoo of Trishul (trident) inked below the elbow of her right hand.”Those having any information about the deceased woman can provide the same by dialing 8280338323 or 8280338296,” the CP tweeted adding that identity of the person, who will give the right information will not be disclosed.Earlier reaching the crime scene, police had seized a knife, a pair of gloves empty liquor bottles and some clothes from the spot.
