As part of its preventive measures against Covid-19, the Ganjam district administration on Tuesday asked all shopkeepers and vendors and other retailers to display their vaccination certificates in front of their shops.
Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said that the initiative would be helpful in checking transmission of the deadly virus and create confidence among customers. He further cautioned that enforcement personnel would keep a strict vigil on implementation of the order.
It may be mentioned that the Ganjam administration has been earning praises from different quarters for its effective Covid-19 management models. Last month, the district administration made Covid-19 test (Rapid Antigen) mandatory for bride, groom, their family members and other participants before the marriage.
