It is good news for the air passengers entering into or leaving the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) as they will not have to pay the parking fee for their vehicles.
In a bid to provide hassle-free services, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has decided not to charge a parking fee for the vehicles entering into the BPIA.
As per a new policy issued by the AAI on December 10 for the Bhubaneswar airport, there would be no free time limit system for parking or entry of vehicles at the BPIA, said Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha in the Rajya Sabha.
In a reply to a question of BJD MP Prasanna Acharya, the Minister said, “The AAI has recently issued a new vehicle parking policy on December 10 for the Bhubaneswar airport. In the new policy, the concept of free time limit has been removed. As per the new policy, vehicles (except commercial vehicles) going to pick-up/drop lanes will not be charged any parking/entry/access fee.”
