The Vedanta Jharsuguda recently reached out to 860 beneficiaries in healthcare in partnership with the Apollo Group of Hospitals, Bhubaneswar. In a single day, the specialised multidisciplinary health camp provided free consultation, medicines and pathological services in six disciplines.
The camp was the second in a series of planned health interventions with specialised agencies. It was inaugurated by Jharsuguda Collector Bibhuti Bhushan Patnaik. Also present was Vedanta HR head Dilip Ranjan Sahoo.
Patnaik praised Vedanta’s contribution in augmenting the existing health services and wellbeing of its neighbouring communities. He also commended Vedanta’s initiative to bring employee volunteers into the fold of CSR activities.
Sahoo said Vedanta was delighted to see a tremendous positive response, especially from the Senior Citizens’ Forum, to the programme. He assured of the company’s continuous commitment in this regard in future.
The Vedanta reaches to more than 18,000 people through its mobile health initiative at Jharsuguda.
