In a fresh development in the ongoing marital discord between actress Varsha Priyadarshini and her husband and actor-cum politician Anubhav Mohanty, the former has filed a complaint case against Anubhav at the Court of SDJM here.
The case has been registered under Sections 506, 509, 501 of the IPC and Section 67 of the IT Act with Varsha alleging that several social media posts by Anubhav have tarnished her image. The posts are derogatory and disrespectful in nature, she added.
The SDJM Court had recently directed Varsha to vacate Anubhav’s parental house in Cuttack. The court stated that Varsha has to leave Anubhav’s house within two months after receiving Rs 30,000 as compensation from the actor. It further directed Anubhav to pay the compensation amount to Varsha within 10th of every month.
While hearing another case of divorce between Anubhav and Varsha, the Orissa High Court had ordered the former to refrain from making any video/ comment against his wife. It also directed Varsha to stay away from making any comment on the issue before any media, including social media.
