Kendrapada MP Anubhav Mohanty and his estranged wife Varsha Priyadarshini on Monday appeared before a Family Court here, which is adjudicating a divorce petition filed by Anubhav.
The court recorded the statement of Varsha which was examined by Anubhav’s lawyer Geeta Luthra. Sources said Luthra asked several questions Varsha relating to her marriage and what steps had been taken to save the couple’s disturbed married life. Varsha reportedly answered them to the satisfaction of the lawyer.
It was also learnt that Varsha submitted certain fresh documents in the court to which Anubhav’s lawyer objected questioning the necessity of that after so many days of the case being filed. The court, which was learnt to have not taken cognisance of the fresh documents, fixed November 2 for the next hearing of the case.
