Members of the Vanivihar Old Students’ Society-92 (VOSS-92) here met Utkal University Vice-Chancellor Dr Ashok Kumar Das and conveyed him best wishes on the Teachers’ Day on Saturday.
lauding various activities undertaken by the body, Das advised its members to take up activities like blood donation camp, cleanliness drive and various seminars on the premises of the university. He also appreciated the proposal of the VOSS-92 to issue a souvenir postal stamp on the university on the occasion of the varsity’s Platinum Jubilee in 2018 and assured them to take step in this regard.
VOSS-92 convenor Gadadhar Rath, secretary Babita Kar, associate secretary Samita Panda and treasurer Pranab Das, among others, were present during the meeting. They also discussed on subject matters like Central University status to the varsity, improvement in education, construction of boundary and hostels, etc.
