The Vaidika Sangham, Brahmapur organised ‘Samuhika-Bratopanayan’ (mass thread ceremony) of poor Brahmin children at Shri Veera Brahman Gari temple on Friday.
Kasina Chandrasekhar and Kasina Haimavati along with the Vaidika Sangham members conducted the thread ceremony and provided funds. Under the guidance of Sanham prsident Bhanudevalapu Narayana Murty, twenty-one bachelors along with 7-10 women did the Nandimukha puja.
A large number of people gathered in the temple premises and blessed ‘Brahmacharies’ (Threaded Brahmins). The ceremony ended in grand success supported by priests Vemagoti Vasudeva Sastry, Bhaskarabhatta Balakrishna Sharma, Matta Krishnamurty, Bhaskarbhatta Ravi K Nerella, Ram Mohan, Pasupati Patabhi, Ram Vanamali Visweswar Sastry and Tumbarada Satyanarayana.
