On allegations of acquiring wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income, Vigilance officials on Saturday conducted raids at the residences of Ashok Kumar Mishra, presently working as the Senior Assistant in the Directorate of Distance & Continuing Education (DDCE), Utkal University, at the Vani Vihar campus and Patia here.
The simultaneous raids were also carried out at his DDCE office room in the Vani Vihar campus and residential house at native Durgapur village in Cuttack district.
During the searches, the Vigilance officials detected a double-storied building of Mishra at Kalinga Nagar in Bhubaneswar and seized cash amounting to Rs 3.55 lakh.
The total assets of Mishra and his family members were calculated as Rs 1.38 crore.
