With a view to promote the Odia language, the Utkal Sammilani has taken certain pledges on the eve of the Odia New Year Day on April 14, said Sammilani Macheswar Industrial branch head Dillip Dashsharma.The Sammilani called upon all Odias to write signboards in front of their houses and business establishments in Odia language, publication of invitation letters for various events including marriages in Odia and use of the mother tongue while having conversations.
