The Utkal Coal limited (UCl), an SPV of IMFA Group, which is developing a coal block in Angul district, has made a rehabilitation and resettlement site in Jamunali village, which has all infrastructure facilities of a small township.
To ensure livelihood and reassurance of the company's commitment to the R&R Policy of 2006 of the State Government, the project displaced persons, who have moved into the rehabilitation site, were awarded land rights Record of Rights (ROR) for the portion of the land they have been allotted in the rehabilitation site.
It has a school, a community centre, shopping complex, bank, gymnasium, a temple, a health sub-centre and a live stock centre for the inmates, to ensure livelihood of the rehabilitation site.
The distribution of RoR was done by the Angul Collector in the presence of the company director of the Utkal Coal limited (UCl) Sanjeev Das.
