Utkal Bharat president Kharabela Swain on Thursday formed a Cuttack Steering Committee (CSC) for the CMC elections consisting of six senior members of the party.
The members are party State youth wing president Abhishek Joshi, Cuttack Committee president Dillip Kumar Swain, Cuttack Committee vice-president Debendra Dwivedi, Cuttack general secretary Girendra Ghose, secretary general Dipti Ranjan Satpathy and vice-president Bipra Charan Sahu.
The committee finalised six candidates for the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) polls, the candidates being Arjun Barik from Ward-20, Rozalin Swain of Ward-22, Manoranjan Behera of Ward-29, Sandhyarani Acharya of Ward-44 and Manjit Sarpal and Jagannath Sahu from Ward-52 and Ward-53, respectively.
Youth president Joshi also declared that the Utkal Bharat would support 10 more efficient Independent candidates contesting from various wards.
