A four-day 45th annual convention of The Odisha Society of the Americas (OSA) commenced in Ohio from Thursday and will continue till July 6. The venue of the event is Hotel Sheraton, Columbus Downtown in Ohio.
OSA members of Ohio have invited the Odia diaspora in the US and Canada to attend the rare congregation. A professional group of popular entertainers from Odisha comprising popular Ollywood music director Abhijit Majumdar, comedy actor Papu Pom Pom, playback singers Tapu Mishra and Sohini Mishra and Bishnu Mohan Kabi have been invited to the convention to make it still livelier.
The OSA has exhorted all Odias to make a efforts to contribute or be part of the Odia activities and sponsor a programmes or activities available at the convention. Odia food is one of the most attractive parts of the annual convention, the OSA said.
The organisers of the convention have expressed their gratitude to Buckeye Sponsors for its generous sponsorships and gracious donations in terms of effort and money.
