US Consulate Section Chief, Hyderabad, Jamie Fouss and his team visited the SAI International School on Tuesday. During their visit, they discussed future links with the US Consulate in the areas of higher education, educational programmes, scholarships and building global school partnerships with schools in the USA.
Fouss was impressed with the caliber of community service initiatives taken up by the school and talked about possible support in the area which would permanently fuse the SAI and the US Consulate towards upliftment of Bhubaneswar’s underprivileged community.
They discussed to create a US Consulate Relations Center in the city and the SAI offered to host such an establishment in its campus. There was a debate on the US Visa application process as the SAI International School sends 20-30 students to the USA annually on a Global Immersion Programme.
The SAI International School is highly motivated to build US-Indo relations in the area of education and set in motion mutual project with the US Consulate. Fouss promised to visit and participate at the school bench mark event SAIMUN in this July.
