The State witnessed a rise in daily Covid-19 positive cases with 1,174 more infections reported from 30 districts and the State pool. With this, the total tally increased to 13,09,085.
Among the newly-infected were 155 children in the age group of 0 to 18 years.
Notably, 662 Covid cases were reported on Tuesday.
Out of the new cases, 688 were from quarantine and 48 local contacts.
Khordha district reported the highest 316 new cases followed by Sundargarh with 261, Sambalpur 89, Mayurbhanj 87, Cuttack 63, Balangir 32, Kandhamal 28, Nayagarh 25, Bargarh 23, Kalahandi 19, Jajpur, Baleswar, Koraput and Nabarangpur 16 each, Subarnapur 14, Jharsuguda 13, Rayagada 12, Jagatsinghpur 11 and Keonjhar 10, Deogarh and Nuapada nine each, Puri eight, Bhadrak seven, Dhenkanal, Gajapati and Kendrapada five each, Boudh four, Angul and Ganjam three each and Malkangiri one.
Besides, 48 infections were reported from the State pool.
The number of active cases jumped to 7,011.
So far, 12,92,885 patients have recovered in the State.
Meanwhile, one more person succumbed to the disease, increasing the total death toll to 9,136 in the State.
