land leased out but not put to proper use must be cancelled, directed Chief Secretary Bijay Kumar Patnaik while presiding over a Sate land Allotment Committee meeting on Thursday evening.
The committee reviewed the present position of land allotted in the industrial areas of Mancheswar, Rasulgarh and Chandka.
The Chief Secretary directed the Idco to identify the non-performing units. It was decided that land put to non-industrial use would be taken back.
The Chief Secretary advised the Idco to follow proper procedure for cancellation of the lease as per the law.
The issues relating to valuation of land at the Info-Valley was also discussed.
It was decided that the land rate would be fixed in two conditions, viz., attracting investment in the sectors need by the State and creation of more employment opportunity for Odia youths.
The Chief Secretary directed the Idco to make case-wise analysis and categorise all the cases having applied for change of names, proprietorship or industrial activity so that it could be examined at higher level for sanction by the Government.
