After getting requests from different groups of students, the committees would discuss it at the meetings in detail. Result of the meeting would come very soon, said a committee
member.

Things took a turn for the worse when some masked youths coming on a motorcycle damaged Vice-Chancellor PK Sarangi's car parked outside his office. "The youths have not been identified yet as they had covered their faces and escaped immediately after pelting stones at the car," said Assistant Commissioner of Police Trinath Mishra.
looking at the surcharged atmosphere at the campus, the university authorities are having a second thought over conducting the students' union elections scheduled on October 14. "Although notification for the elections has not been made yet, we will wait and watch the situation before deciding on it," the VC said.
