Union Minister of State for labour & Employment and Steel & Mines Vishnu Deo Sai arrived here on a two-day visit to Sundargarh district.
The Minister first went to the Bisra lime Stone (BSl), Biramitrapur, which has remained closed for the last three weeks, to take stock of the situation there, sources said.
He then graced the Karma Purva Sandhya at Bhanja Bhavan here and
later attended as a guest at the Sports Day function organised by the Chandra Sekhar Sports.
A team of the Sachetan Nagarika Manch called on him in the evening and urged him to take steps for up-gradation of the Ispat General Hospital (IGH) to a medical college. The minister assured the delegates to look into the matter.
