Union Budget good one: Kalikesh

The Union Budget 2019-20 presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Parliament on Friday is a directionally decent Budget, which seeks to improve liquidity by recapitalisation of banks and providing risk guarantee for Non Banking Financial Companies (NBFC), said former Balangir MP Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo.

Deo said it seems to reform the Labour laws and there is focus on medium and small enterprises to improve

growth and provide water for all by 2024.

However, they have always fallen short of revenue estimates with the GST collection and disinvestment being low. This would seriously impair Rs 1 lakh crore to be spent on infrastructure and other schemes, added Deo.

Moreover, the cess on petrol and diesel will hit the common man as it would have  a cascading effect, he further added.
