The Simulia police after registering a case of unnatural death have begun an investigation into the recovery of an unidentified woman's body near a canal under mysterious circumstances. The woman appeared to be married and was around 30 years old, said IIC Jayant Behera. The body didn’t bear any external or internal injuries; neither was it sexually assaulted, he told. The autopsy report also didn’t reveal anything except damage to lungs, said IIC Behera. The body was spotted by the locals of Iswarpur panchayat who informed to the police. The police said that they presume that the deceased was a local or of Bhadrak district. The viscera samples will be sent for further investigation and efforts were on to identify the deceased, said IIC Behera.
